In Hebrew Gan, students will solidify their knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet. They will be able to recognize each letter and the sound that goes with it. They will learn webs of vocabulary related to different units, and will learn basic verbs. Students will be able to speak about themselves, their families, and give basic descriptions about their actions.
- Hebrew alphabet - review and solidify letter awareness. Letter bingo, letter yoga, spelling our names
- Ani - speaking about ourselves (Ani yeled, ani yelda, ani ben shesh, ani bat chamesh)
- Verbs - Stand, sit, do/make, want
- Animals - animal yoga
- Family - mother, father, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather
- Colors
- Holiday vocabulary & traditions - Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, Chanukkah, Tu BeShvat, Purim, Pesach, Yom Hatzmaut, Lag B'Omer, and Shavuot
