Students will learn about the traditions of the Jewish New Year, such as tashlich and sounding the shofar. They will learn vocabulary associated with the holiday.

Sukkot
Students will visit the Sukkah and learn about the lulav and etrog. They will learn the Sukkot blessings for sitting in the sukkah and shaking the lulav.
The Hebrew Gan will hold outdoor lessons and activities in the sukkah.
Take two pieces of legal sized paper, dip them in coffee and hang it to dry.
Decorate two wooden dowels.
When the paper is dry, choose several Hebrew letters to draw on the paper.
Tape the ends of the papers to the dowels and to one another. Roll the dowels together.
Take a decorative rope and tie the scroll together.
Use two rimonim to put on top and bottom of scroll (silver paper taped in a cylinder).

Students will learn about Tu BiShvat and its blessings and traditions.
Students will create a tree museum where they will explore what we get from trees.
